Governance

Is really important to understand the Governance DAO (Decentralized Autonomous Organization).

A decentralized autonomous organization (DAO) is an organization constructed by rules encoded as a computer program that is often transparent, controlled by the organization's members and not influenced by a central government.
In general terms, DAOs are member-owned communities without centralized leadership.
A DAO's financial transaction records and program rules are maintained on a blockchain.

How MetalSwap's DAO works

The interface can be reached at MetalSwap's main Dapp .
From the top menu, choose Governance.

Here you will have the opportunity to briefly deepen the meaning of DAO.

On the FIRST access to this section, the user must give consent to the "Self Delegate" for the smart contract to verify the number of tokens you hold and thus calculate your voting power.
If the user own more than one wallet, he have to repeat the same procedure for each one.
Once the transaction has been confirmed, the following page will be displayed

In the 'Active proposals' section is possible to find the proposals and the possibly vote on.
The second box, the title "past proposals", shows the DAO proposals that have already taken place and have been completed.
Through the "Create Proposal" button anyone has the opportunity to make a proposal for modification/improvement of the MetalSwap project.
Obviously, the binding condition for doing this, is to possess the XMT token in a minimum quantity of 3M.

Any XMT holder who has given "Self Delegate" will anyway be able to make their vote count for all future proposals with any amount of XMT - more XMT, more voting power.
