Transition from XMT to the New Governance Token

Welcome to the official doc about the transition from XMT (formerly MetalSwap’s governance token) to the upcoming new governance token that will be used to rule Denaria. This document provides important details on the token swap, following MetalSwap’s rebranding to Denaria and its expansion into a comprehensive decentralized derivatives suite.

Important​

This page will be updated as soon as we have more official information regarding:
- The specific blockchain for the Token Generation Event
- The new token’s ticker, address, and final details

Overview of the Token Swap​

- [MIP-6](https://gov.metalswap.finance/t/mip-6-should-denaria-complete-a-token-swap-operation/216) is successfully passed, so the process for the token swap operation is officially scheduled

- Current Token: $XMT (MetalSwap’s original governance token)
- New Token: (Ticker & contract to be announced soon) — to govern Denaria’s derivatives suite.
- Swap Ratio: 1 $XMT → 5 New Tokens

- Example: If you own 1% of the current XMT supply, you will own `1%` of the new token supply.\

- New Token Supply: 10,000,000,000 (10B, this is five times the current $XMT supply).

Snapshot and Eligibility​

A snapshot on Ethereum, Optimism, Polygon, Linea and BNB Chain of all $XMT holders will be taken before the token swap occurs.

- For each $XMT held at the time of the snapshot, you will be eligible to claim five new tokens.
- The moment of the snapshot will be announced on our official channels—stay tuned.

Timeline and Upcoming Updates​

- Snapshot: Date To Be Announced via official channels.
- Token Generation Event (TGE): The specific blockchain and deployment details will be decided soon.
- Swap Interface Launch: A user-friendly front end will go live, enabling the new token claims.
