How to Acquire XMT on the Polygon Chain

Embark on the journey to acquire XMT tokens on the Polygon Chain with this step-by-step guide. The process is streamlined and secure, beginning with a visit to the Uniswap platform.

Connecting Your Wallet​

  1. Click the “Connect” button.
  2. Choose the wallet you wish to use.
  3. Select POLYGON from the list of networks.

Note: If your wallet is not set to the Polygon Chain, a prompt will guide you to switch networks with a click on “Change Network”.

Swapping Tokens​

You can swap any token with another, provided both are on the Polygon network. The swap fee, or ‘gas,’ is paid in MATIC.

Selecting Tokens​

  2. To ensure security, manually enter the smart contract of the token you wish to swap.

Finding Smart Contracts​

  1. Locate the smart contract on CoinMarketCap.
  2. Copy the contract and return to Uniswap.

Trading MATIC for XMT​

  1. Click on “Select token”.
  2. Enter the XMT contract, select MetalSwap, and read the warnings.
  3. Click “I understand” to import the token.

Finalizing the Swap​

Insert the amount of MATIC or the chosen token for the equivalent in XMT. Ensure you have extra MATIC available for the swap fees.

Final Step: Press the swap button, pay the transaction fee, and wait for the process to be completed.

Then choose POLYGON from this list of networks

In case the network settled on the wallet is not Polygon Chain, a hint window will appear asking you to click on "Change Network".
Click to proceed and connect the wallet through the "Connect" bottom.

It is possible to swap any token with any other token, the only rule is that both must be on the Polygon network.

The swap will have a price (gas fee) to pay independently from the quantity of tokens exchanged.
This gas fee are paid in MATIC, so it is good to have a extra amount of MATIC in the wallet.

By Clicking on the arrow next to each of the tokens, will be shown a list of tokens to choose from, but to avoid mistakes or scams we recommend to always enter the smart contract of the token wanted in the window provided.

The safest way to find a smart contract is to search for it on the CoinMarketCap website, copy the contract and bring it back to Uniswap. For example, to trade MATIC to get XMT, follow the next steps:

Search on Coinmarketcap for Metalswap's smart contract (XMT). As MetalSwap is native on the Ethereum network, search for its equivalent token on the Polygon network.
Press the More button and select the second option and then copy the contract.

Click the "Select token" button

Enter (paste) the $XMT contract in the box and select the MetalSwap token

Read the warnings and continue by clicking on "I understand" and import the token selected.

Now the platform is ready to exchange any amount of MATIC, or other token chosen, for the equivalent in XMT.

Always remember to have some MATIC to pay the swap fees.
