Recall Pools

The Recall Pool allows XMT tokens dispersed across various secondary blockchains like Polygon and BNB chain to return to the main Ethereum blockchain with no bridging costs, which is the only where these tokens have voting power within the DAO, also if staked in a Smart Pool.
This fee-less bridge-like tool is possible thanks to Chainlink's technologies called CCIP and Automation. Read our blogpost to learn more about these tools.

How to use a Recall Pool - BNBChain example

Let's start by access from the launch app on the official MetalSwap website:
https://app.metalswap.finance/

  • First select the BNB Chain network

If the chain set to Metamask is different from the selected one, this message appears

Click on "Switch network" on Metamask and "Connect Wallet".
At the top select "Pools" and from the drop-down menu select "Recall Pools"

Select "Recall Pools" and the relative webpage will appear. If there's an open pool, we'll see the following card:

After reaching the Recall Pool, is now necessary deposit the required amount into one of the 20 available slots. As you can see from the screen above, in this example only one Slot is left to be claimed from a user that wants to deposit in this Recall Pool exactly 50k XMT tokens.

Just click Recall XMT to deposit 50k on this Recall Pool before its expiring date.

The Recall Pool has an expiration date by which the operation will be performed, but if all slots are filled early then this operation may be completed before the deadline.

Important to know

MetaMask now requires you to set your spending cap, which is the number of tokens you're comfortable with the Smart Contract spending now or in the future.

  1. To avoid repeating this process, it is recommended to click on "USE DEFAULT" button. This ensures that you won't have to give an additional allowance when the previously entered number has been reached.
  2. Enter the desired value for your spending cap.
  3. Click on "NEXT" to proceed.
  4. Pay the transaction fee associated with the confirmation.

After the Recall Pool is triggered, every user that claimed a slot on BNBChain, will now see the XMT token in the same address, but on the Ethereum Mainchain, plus a little reward! No Claim buttons or other kind of tx to call on Ethereum.
